Has anyone experienced while glancing at a digital clock it is more often than not 11 minutes after the hour?

Oddly the last few weeks I have. Perhaps it's because I am "aware" of it....but it is strange and have absolutely no explanation for it.
 
I just looked, and mine says 11:03. No, never noticed what you speak of. I have noticed "confirmation bias" and selective memory etc. at times though.
 
yeah, more often than not my bedside clock is at 11 past when I look at it. and when I am reading, I almost always notice the 100 page... but since when you read you may or may not subconsciously notice the page number anyway, I don't think that would count...;)

11:11 been happening to me for over 30 years. Still going on. I can't explain it.

I'll get the 11 after thing on my bedside clock as well even while setting the clock 10 minutes fast. I'm addicted to sleep. If I can fool myself into thinking I'm getting more time so be it. :)

Why 11? How bout 25 after or 44?

I'm wondering if it's just the "human condition" . Where the number 11 has more of a cultural significance 7-11,craps,etc...And it's just noticed more often for that reason.

Perhaps we see other combination just as often but don't assign any meaning to it. Who cares about 9:35?

But 11:11 3:11 9:11 7:11 all have a bit meaning attached to them. Therefore when we those combos they stand out from the others.
 
Its only because you notice 11. I GUARANTEE you look at the clock at other times too but you dont mentally 'take note' of those occasions.

If you said that you knew for a fact that the only time you ever internally wondered about the time and actually checked it was 11 after the hour, then I might be interested. But obviously that isnt the case.

Its (literally) 11:11 right now.
 
Maybe you see 11:11 because you have consciously repressed your urge to "cross swords" ever since that shower incident in Boy Scouts.
I'm more of 10:00 kind of guy.
 
I am so confused. Wasn't this Thread closed? (And WHY I'll never know, I didn't feel the subject was bad or anything..).

Anyways, I'm glad it's re-opened, 'cuz I wanted to share how I've been seeing 11:11 both am and pm for YEARS now nearly every single day and it drives me nuts! I'll be in the middle of doing something and my head will almost snap right to the clock at 11:11!

small observation..the time at which you submitted your post reads: 01.46pm..adds up to eleven... bit crazy!

Nah, there's a cool band called Eleven too. Girl in the band reportedly died at 11:11. Natasha Schneider is her name I think.

I didn't realize at the time of my first reply here that 11:03 is 3:11 backwards lol. 1:31 atm btw. Another version of 3:11. Having said that, the four or five other times I've checked the thread, the time had no relation to 3:11.
