Ahhh, one of my three favorite things.

1. Kickoff for the Alabama Crimson Tide
2. Baseball opening day (Yeah, I know about Japan but it's our game) Go Braves!
3. Release later in the month of a new Stephen King novel.

Life is good.

Angel, until you have been in a southern staduim with the young ladies in heels and formals and the young men in suits and ties and burbon and coke in the girls purse. walked the quad and felt the tingle as the band goes into the fight song in the stadium and seen the intensity as the good guys fight the invading hoards from that "other" school ya just can't understand.

Now, with baseball there is a cool precise ballet going on with the pitch and the crack of the bat. The awakening of the earth as spring is finally here and you close your eyes and hear the vendor saying hot dogs and beer here. The casual ebb and flow of the game and the faces of the kids as they see their hero. As they say in Georgia and Northeast Alabama and South Carolina and southeastern Tennessee "This is Braves Country!"

Stephen King? What can I say. I have been in the Maine woods and met small town American characters. I've ridden shotgun in haunted cars and stayed in snowed in Colorado hotel. I've ridden Mid World and Blain the Choo choo train and battled the Crimson King at the Tower that holds all worlds together. Heard the choir singing "Hey Jude" in honor of the "Man Jesus" and hope to meet again in the clearing at the end of the trail.

So I went on that long winded diatribe for nothing?:p Well, I guess "diatribe" isn't the right word. But, I it was long winded. I tend to just run my mouth or my keyboard at times. ;)

Excuse number 425 for me: I'm wearing an old pair of glasses and I gotta get my new ones next week. Then I can C Better 2 read! :p
