Perhaps I am the last to know, but just in case this assists anyone, I wanted to say that 2 of Jacques Vallee's earlier classics (which have always sold for huge amounts) have just been released in paperback at reasonable rates!

I discovered this on Amazon.com.

This may be an opportunity to acquire these rare books that have previously only been available via ultra-expensive first edition resales.
 
I would assume that they are available at other book sellers. I never heard of a book being published and distributed only by Amazon.com. This is just the site I go to routinely to see what's new in the publishing world.

Four of them have been featured on the USI site for quite some time now: http://ufopages.com/Content/Reference/Vallee-01a.htm ( scroll to the bottom of the page ).
They are supplied and delivered by Amazon as part of my attempt to use their aStore program to generate some small amount of revenue.
NOTE: The site requires a full featured full size browser rather than a phone or handheld device.

Shhhhh, don't tell, anyone but a lot of Vallée's work is in PDF form now online freely available. Though it's nice to hold a book. I hate reading with devices.
 
Just a friendly word of advice for anyone looking to purchase inscribed first editions of Vallee’s work.., don’t. Unless you’re a collector they’re so expensive you’ll never want to turn the pages. Buy a copy that is in fair to good condition, because a good book is never read until being read multiple times. EBay or Amazon will usually have something used that may fit the bill.

After reading of a study of used books, where fecal matter was found on a large percentage of the books (presumably from people reading on the toilet), I no longer have much interest in buying used books. This is why I started this thread because you can now buy a NEW copy of Passport to Magonia and Invisible College in fresh just printed paperback form. No need to buy some musty old book.
