Thanks to Frank Warren/UFO Chronicles for posting James Carrion's blog entry: http://followthemagicthread.blogspot.com/2010/04/goodbye-ufology-hello-truth.html

"All of this has led me to where I am at today – squarely outside of Ufology – away from the polarized beliefs, the three ring circus of sideshows and illusion acts that has created nothing but a hall of mirrors and dead ends and which has produced no definite answers despite 60 years of accumulated investigation. I feel free and alive with possibilities; being able to pursue the truth through original research and verifiable original documentation, without the constant distractions and noise."

Welcome to the club, James...

Hey Gene, let's get James back on to discuss the weather outside of the box! *smile*

Yeah I second that. James is a good bloke I think ... one of the few maybe. Its incredibly annoying that he doesn't accept comments on his blog though  ... probably because he doesn't want his blog to be taken over by fruitcakes :D.

Still yep ... would be interesting to see what he's up to, and his thoughts on being on the outside the field ... so heres to a second spin for James Carrion on the Paracast soon :)

Great idea. :)

Mr. Carrion seems level headed and it also seems the he's trying his best to dissociate from MUFON's stepchild Romanek. I'm thankful for that and I hope that he doesn't leave the field entirely. It seems like the most popular and loudest voices in this field are the ones that have outlandish claims with very little evidence to back them up. Meanwhile the Biedny's and the Carrion's in this field are pushed to the side, or voluntarily jump out of the road completely.

Very very interesting, his comments clearly criticize MUFON in a way I guess ? In the past show he seemed like a level headed guy.

Perhaps he would be a good guest co-host? He definitely should know the field and have a sense of history, which is important given that the questions raised today often were raised first decades ago.
