Jim Sylvan-The Big MOON Show

The researcher that really caught my interest in Lunar phenomena was Jim Sylvan. I met him when I was appearing as a guest on the Allan Handleman Show. When Jim and I met we talked about the Moon, George Leonard's book "Somebody Else is on the Moon", and the research Jim had carried out to that point.

His first appearance on UFOs Tonite! was on Feb. 28, 1993, when UFOs Tonite! was still only one hour long. I had Jim back on July 16, 1994 after the show expanded to two hours. That evening Dwight Schultz was co-hosting with me and among the many topics we hit was Comet Shoemaker-Levy smacking into Jupiter. I included both shows here in one package. Sit back and enjoy.

Great shows. I gotta say , those old recordings of the APRO reports were extrmely fascinating. I really love hearing that old stuff.

Any idea what Jim Sylvan is upto these days? That's not your collaborating partner for the moon stuff is it Don ?

Also how bout Dwight Shultz? Does he still gave sn interest in this stuff?

Hi Gareth. Just recently spoke with Jim and he is well. Although he still has a very strong interest in Lunar material he, like many of us, is working to keep head above water in another field.

Dwight has a real interest in the overall field of UFO research but he has really been busy with his career. Glad you enjoyed the Sylvan shows.

Don, thus far this is my favorite show. Love Jim Sylvan's sensible approach.

I must say that Carl Sagan is one of the most interesting characters in this play within a play. Clearly, he was out front and in the public eye for an intended management of perception. I cannot say that he volunteered for this and it may be that he simply fit the requirements and the popular paradigm. I doubt it though.

Don -

In another thread you mentioned a particular photograph.

"About a year or so later I was to discover one of the most amazing lunar photos you could hope to see (from a NASA un-manned lunar probe in 1966. "

Any chance you can point me to this one?:)

Icculus, no I can't point you to that photo. I have that one and have not released it yet. This figures into a possible television project and I have been holding this back for some time. Sorry.

Don. These Moon-related shows are some of the most compelling audio interviews I have ever listened to, and I've been seriously into ufology since the early 80's and have listened to hundreds of interviews, but none match these in terms of just how rivetting they are.
Seeing as I'm new to the site and only discovered it by pure chance ( I know ! ) I was hoping you could answer a couple of questions ..unless someone else cares to answer instead ? :

1.Why did you sell all of your ufo-related books etc and retire the show ?
2.You spoke with Bob Kiviat on air about the premise of making a Moon Anomolies Documentary. Did this ever happen ?
3.Any more interviews on this subject that you coukd digitize would be most appreciated. Any plans to upload more over time?

Best wishes and thankyou again !!!!

Owlman, thank you for your remarks. I got out of UFO research after 20 years on "the frontlines" in 2007. My reasons are listed in my paper "My 20 Years in the UFO Fog" which is at the top of the forum in a PDF file.

The TV project is still in the works and has not happened ... yet. As I have said in other messages I will post any information on that as it happens. Gene and David may soon be doing something on this with me.

Yes, I am uploading shows as I digitize them and there are more. Stay tuned.

Vito's tale is interesting, however, at the end of the day all we have is a great story, nothing more.

• We are to believe that Vito's partner got the most amazing photos's in mankind's history—but—surprise, he's nowhere to be found. Furthermore Vito doesn't have a single image? /sigh

• I think it's highly unlikely that NASA could cover this up. Do you realize how many people would have been privy to this knowledge and need to be hushed up? Maybe this is why we cancelled future moon missions, we had to pay all these people off?

• I assume everyone of the photos Vito looked at were from the far-side of the moon, otherwise a University observatory or an individual with a high-powered telescope and camera could surely take a photo with sufficient resolution.

Great story, not a shred of evidence, except for maybe some rolling boulders. Par for the course in this "field" I suppose. :(

I just started the Jim Sylvan episodes, thanks for posting these. So far I am impressed with the overall quality of these radio shows. I assume Dark Matters was the precursor to Art Bell's first shows? Not being familiar with what happened to Dark Matters but it seems like Art Bell pretty much copied this format. I even heard similar bumper music, "Don't Fear the Reaper". I'm guessing there is alot more to this story.

Don, you should be in Noory's spot

Yes , a crying shame there is no real proof to this story , only his word, but there are enough lunar-anomaly photos circulating now to provide that kind of evidence, and you cannot fault the testimony of several key witnesses , such as Donna Hare, Karl Wolfe and Larry Warren, who all saw amazing photographic evidence of artificial structures on the moon.
2 of these witnesses both swore that they saw " box-like structures " , circular buildings and things that looked like towers.
Jose Escamillia's excellent documentary " Moon Rising" shows many anomalies and solid proof of photo tampering, including blurred-out sections of the lunar surface.
That's proof enough for me. Of course , I'm still waiting for the day that China or some other country goes there and we get high definition-quality photos back that Nasa can't touch and then edit.

I concur with the comment that you should be in Noory's place on Coast Don. ( or at LEAST have a monthly spot )
I'm new to your interviews, but man you do an excellent job, and take no prisoners. You remind me of a certain Mr Bell.

How about you and Mr Shultz come back to radio. This is a subject that won't go away, and I know you MUST still be interested in it ! ;)

Vito seems as credible as they come, just wish there was a photo. This topic has definitely risen to the top of my interests in this realm. I found a copy of Leonard's book on Amazon, looking forward to checking that one out.

Hope to see a Paracast show on this someday.

Icculus,

There are many photographs that show artificial appearing objects on the lunar surface. I am not here to "stick up" for Vito but that interview was one of the most compelling I ever carried out. I am privy to some downright amazing photos from the Moon. I don't wish to sound mysterious about it but I have been treading water with these because of a TV project I have been involved with for some time. IF.. this damn thing ever comes off then I can release these photos. Suffice to say I am convinced (for what that is worth) that there are unanswered questions sitting up there on the Moon.

Now on to more mundane things. My first show was not Dark Matters but UFOs Tonite! which aired on CRN. These are the shows that I have mostly been posting. Your right, should have hit bigger because I started this back in 1991 when Art Bell was still doing political talk on satellite radio. Bell happened to interest Bob Bigelow (Las Vegas multi-giga bucks) who backed Art originally on the big radio station out of Vegas who syndicated him. Many many people over the years told me, once again for what its worth... and not worth too much these days .. that the quality of my shows and guests blew C2C out of the water but he had syndication and I never did. For 3 years I fought CRN about syndication and they promised me and promised me and never did a damn thing. I appeared several times on Bells show as a guest but I scared him. Yea, no kidding. How? Well one example was talked about indirectly on the show I just posted with Russ Estes and Bill Cone ... the Harley Byrd "Poop show". Bell invited this maniac on his show and Russ, who was shooting that TV thing tried to call Bell and warn him what a nut-case Harley was. When he finally spoke to Art, Art didn't want to hear it, he invited Russ to come on and "debate" Harley. Russ once again told Art about Harley threatening his life, my life and had no interest in even speaking to Harley. So, Art called my office and wanted me to come on and debate Harley. I told him not only no but Hell No! This pissed him off. At the time I had UFOs Tonite! So, what happened? Harley went on Art's show, and after a short while it became apparent that good ol' Harley was so off his rocker ... Art "lost his phone connection", oops, sorry audience ... and then told everybody he couldn't reach Harley via phone.

That was either a Thursday or possibly Friday show. My show was on Saturday and boy did I have fun with that! Of course all that got back to Art which pissed him off even more. Now when Art was leaving the airwaves Rene, and you hear her on my old shows, was breaking into TV producing. She knew Art and called him advising him that he should have me fill in on C2C. Hah! I was the last guy Art wanted to hear about. Then they brought George Noory on. These days George Knapp fill in on C2C and he tried to get me on to guest host and still no go, Noory also knows who I am. I think I am more "real" than they want to deal with. So, there it is in a nutshell, I wouldn't give a pass to folks like Harley or John Lear and they know it.

Decker

Aw man...what if a bunch of us from here petitioned to get you on C2C as a guest host to fill in , like George Knapp does?

Don,
Just finished listening to the first Sylvan interview. Man I wish I had those photos to look at while you guys are talking about them.

Were the images large or tiny? (I heard you say you were using a magnifying lens.)

Was any of this, due to image size, just guesswork? (IE; "I'm not really sure what that shape is, but it shouldn't be there, so it's definitely mining equipment.)

I'm completely interested in moon anomalies and LTP-but so much of the good research into it has been obfuscated by the horrendous supposition and bad research that is would be easy to throw it all away and start over.

Lastly, my proposal to end all of this research would be for a wealthy group of individuals to fund a satellite recon mission of the moon-beaming the photos back via the internet-into every hard drive possible. Let's see NASA or any other agency defeat that type of dissemination.
