Jon Stewart vs Jim Cramer (Mad Money guy)

Free episodes:

John Stewart is a GOD.

He is my Hero. I am seriously thinking of making some kind of monument to this guy, because in the last 20 years, I've not seen someone be so goddamned good at getting to the truth, and shaming one of these fucking idiots to near tears.

For a millisecond I felt sorry for Cramer. He looked like a third grader who'd been called to the principal's office.

It says something about the state of the media when a comedian on a basic cable, FAKE news show does a better job of getting down to brass tacks than the so-called "professional media" (and that's not a knock against Stewart either, he says this sort of stuff himself all the time).

I'd feel sorry for the principle (which has never occurred before now) if Cramer was the kid in the office.

Please don't go soft on us. A millionth of a second is too long for that *&&*&%$#

I know... guess I'm getting sentimental in my old age. Mind you, one millionth of a second later as I stared at Cramer I felt a surge of James Earl Jones as Thulsadoom in Conan:

"What a waste... CRUCIFY HIM."

I'm like 3 seconds older than you, so that makes me old too. /sniffle.

Ok, you are forgiven for now.

Forgot James played in Conan. Ok, don't remember much at all about Conan movies. I recall the nightmare of a mmorpg they did on Conan though.

And ah, thanks for not mentioning my misspelling of principal. I had Victoria Principle on my mind.

I missed that one... must be tired. Technically it's a grammatical error though, you spelled it correctly but used it improperly.

The mainstream media on the other hand seems to have missed this whole episode entirely, in spite of their vast over-hyping during the days preceeding it. Guess they don't like get called out their own bullshit and being shown up by a man who (in his own words) "earns a living making fart jokes" anymore than Cramer does. Pussies.

Wow.

That was fucking BRILLIANT. If anyone is not up to speed, on thedailyshow.com there is a side bar on the left with clips from the 4 eps where Stewart talked about CNBC that led up to the Cramer interview.

In the interview itself, those clips with Cramer talking about (was it short selling) and doing stuff that the SEC doesnt understand just sounded dodgy as!

The whole thing was just amazing. Jon Stewart cred through the roof with many many people now.

edit, BTW was he on the cusp of a salty flow of moisture from the eyes? Or did I just imagine that?

It will be interesting if something happens to Cramer's show, or CNBC in general, like what happened to CNN's Crossfire a few years ago.

A few months after his smackdown of Crossfire the show was cancelled.
Crossfire (TV series) Jon Stewart's appearance

The tagline for The Daily Show used to be "Where more Americans get their news than they probably should." It is really amazing when a comedian on a fake news show does a better job of reporting than "regular" news.

I was wondering too if that show, or Cramer would be canned. If I was a bigwig at CNN, I'd trash it.

Didn't know there was controversy with Crossfire.

I also find it interesting that comedians are often wiser than teachers and say more truth than preachers.

I mean Stewart just had zing after zing after zing after zing.

This is the way Imagine Horn getting done with Biedny in the Stewart seat. Years after Meier admits the fraud Horn will be on with cut outs of his forum posts flashing up on the monitors around the studio.

Now that would be fricken awesome.

"In the court of the king, only the jester may speak the truth and keep his head."

Interesting fallout from this, a senator (a Republican no less) is now calling for an investigation into Cramer's SEC dealings back in 06 in light of this interview. In a brief blurb I read he was asked if what Cramer did was illegal "No but it probably should be." was his reply.

Suck on THAT, mainstream media.
