If there will be interest, I can post from time to time some newspaper clippings through UFO history from my UFOPrintClip Archives. However, concerning newspapers and large formats, I am not sure how some clipping will look within forum. Well, let's try with the first one - we are going into beginnings of the Condon era.

Date: 1967-04-16
Newspapers: Reading Eagle - page 21 and page 33
Title: Scientist Taking Longer, Deeper Look This Time / UFO Study Rekindeling Debate Between Believers and Skeptics

Some quotes from the article:

Blue Book ascribes the bulk of sightings to aircraft, weather and sounding ballons, satellites, meteors, bright stars and planets, missiles, searchlights, clouds, birds reflections, temperature inversions, mirages, sparking of electric wires, swamp gas, even a lighthouse. Recently, ball lightning and plasmas of ionized air have been suggested as one cause by Philip Klass of the magazine Aviation Week and Space Technology.

...

"Some sightings leave me mystified," Maj. Quintanilla says.
"A high percentage of reports are submitted by serious people, mystified by what they saw, and motivated by patriotic responsibility. But many sightings are subjective, about what people thought they say. Some offer more of a challenge than others."

Few instructions: If the text is too small to read it in your browser, I think the best option is to save picture into your hard drive (right click - save picture as) and then zoom it and read with your picture viewing software. Some browsers could allow to click on the image where you will get larger version.

Clipping is large enough, however it is "optimaly" resized within post borders.

UPDATE:
Ok, just checked. Even with the SAVE AS PICTURE option, clipping is still too small for good reading so I have added large version link below every thumbnail in the previous post. Now it should work fine. At those box.com links in previous post, you can view, zoom and download large version of every picture.

Today we are going back to the dawn of Flying Saucers era - july 1947.

Date: 1947-07-07
Newspapers: The News and Courier - pages 1 and 10
Title: Army Planes Cruise Skies for 'Saucers'
Some quotes from the article:

General Carl Spaatz, commandant of the army air forces was in the Pacific Northwest. He denied knowing anything about the flying discs - or of plans to use AAF planes to look for them.
"I've been out of touch with things for four or five days." he said.
Then he went to Medford, Ore., on a fishing trip.
Louis E. Startt, national commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, told newsmen in Columbus, O., yesterday he understood General Spaatz had a "group out right now" looking for discs.
At Muroc army field in California a P-80 jet fighter stood ready to take off at a moment's notice should any flying saucers be sighted in that area.

Date: 1947-07-07
Newspapers: The Milwaukee Journal - page 01
Title: AAF Parley Held to Plumb Mystery of Flying Saucers

Some quotes from the article:

The best brains of army force are baffled by the "flying saucers" phenomenon, and they were in conference Monday to try and figure out what it was all about. Included in the conference were radar specialists, intelligence officers and public relations men.
An AAF spokesman said that one thing was certain: The flying saucers have nothing to do with any army experiments. But the AAF recognizes its responsibility to investigate the saucers as an aviation problem.
...
Included in the witnesses have been the lieutenant governor of Utah, a forest ranger, a commercial pilot who saw a whole "formation" of the saucers and a pilot who saw combat service in World War II. And there are hundreds of others.
