Two posts recently have been quite oddm in that they were so obviouzly not real. One was about a beatles album from a different dimension. The other is about pictures of an alien corpse that looks like a clay model. Are these planted pieces of misinformation, to discredit the site?? I don't believe they are, but I thought of it in a fit of fantasising about the fantastic (nice bit of poetry there) and I thought I'd post the question because, well, just for the craic really.

More like a posting from "Doe-eyed" believers that have no idea what this site, or The Paracast is all about. If the posters stick around a bit, they might learn something. They may even teach us something about ourselves...

What the Hell! For discredite the forum? The users answer were rational and well informed, wow, the Men in Black sure are half asses with their evils schemes. These two post only reinforce the notion that this is a good site for an open debate about paranormal issues, without any dogmatism.

Relax man, I'm just having a bit of fun. But on a serious note, rationalism never hurt anyone. This site is open to anyone - but it is also a site where people discuss bogus UFO claims, and as such, I am just highlighting some of the more 'out there' ones, WITHOUT PASSING JUDGEMENT. I am not saying that their claims are more bogus than anyone elses. If anything, I wanted to begin a fun debate into whether or not this site is being taken over by rock n roll lovin aliens.

It is an open forum, but claims should be challenged, eapecially in this field. NOBODY should think that they are planted pieces of disinformation. But, then again, nobody should take them at face value, and they should be taken to task, just as any other claim is.

So, what is the most bogus claim you have heard ('who' in general)??

You know conor when I saw that clay/plasticine creation I thought the very same thing, didn't catch the beatles one though.

Personally I cant be assed to wonder about what motivates people to post obvious junk like that. I dont like to openly criticise them either as I feel they are quite sad and I dont want to be any more of a burden to their already distorted view of reality, neither do I like to get into heated exchanges.

If those or any others posts are intended to catch people out, then at the end of the day they are doing us a favour.

Gotta keep your radar tuned, no complacency here you know.
