"Japanese Orbiter Finds No Evidence Apollo Missions Landed On Moon

Pravda
Tuesday, May 26, 2009

There is something wrong with US mission to the Moon. The legendary space mission is still shrouded in mystery. Mankind still has a number of reasons to cast doubt on the miracle of inter-planetary flights. Many people still say that US astronauts have never landed on the Moon.

Japan’s Kaguya lunar orbiter took several pictures of the site, where Apollo 15 and Apollo 17 supposedly landed in 1971 and 1972. If the astronauts had ever landed there, they should have left a lot of equipment on the site, including the rovers, on which they traveled on the surface of the Earth’s satellite. "

So the moon conspiracy continues. What ya think?

KGB never sleeps, I gues. :D

On the other side of Pravda, Kaguya crew are saying something else:

Comparison between 3D SELENE landscape and Apollo 15 photo (JAXA/NASA):

Three problems with this analysis.

One: The resolving power of the 3D imagery is only 10 meters (roughly 30 feet). All of the equipment left behind is smaller than this so it is unlikely to show up in the 3D data or as anything large than a single pixel on the image map.

Two: The comparison of the original photo and the 3D image doesn't match up perfectly. It's close but close meaning if you are off by a few degrees you could be as much as a hundred feet or more off of the precise location that you are trying to match. It is the same problem that led some to believe that the original photos on the moon were fake when the background mountains supposedly did not move but the lander did.

Three: It's Pravda. Say no more.

For me 3d landscape from Kaguya IS proof that USA landed on the moon. How would NASA be able to "invent and imagine" this location... I mean it's there, on the moon... SELENE took pictures and it's a perfect match.

Always nice to see somone interpret the data from a fresh perspective.

Interesting how one can use it to come to different conclusions. You see it as proof that we were there and Pravda uses it to prove we weren't.
