On May 28th, from 11 AM until 1 PM Pacific, we'll be recording an episode on the UFO abduction enigma, featuring Kathleen Marden and Denise Stoner, authors of "The Alien Abduction Files: The Most Starting Cases of Human-Alien Contact Ever Reported."

As many of you know, Kathleen is the niece of the late Betty Hill, whose abduction experience with her husband Barney has been regarded as the most credible such encounters of all.

Her book has a foreword by Stanton Friedman - a pretty good vouch!

Questions:

With 20+ years of time invested into this field, what species of aliens do you feel have a high probability of being legitimate? Everyone in this field pretty much accepts that the greys are probably real, but what about all the "fringe" races that people report, like reptilians, Nordic / Pleadeian (sp?), and various insect-like beings?

Has anyone else from your family other than your aunt and uncle had any abduction experiences? or paranormal experiences of any type at all?

What is the most compelling physical evidence that you've seen for abduction / ET contact?

Shooting from the hip, what percentage of the abduction cases you've investigated have additional elements of "high strangeness" to them?

The last time they were on, Stanton Friedman was sharing his ignorance on the topic of climate change...

Anyway, questions: What's the evidence showing that these "abductions" are not psychological in nature? I've had plenty of night terrors and sleep paralysis episodes, but because I am aware of that, I know it isn't an alien abduction. What's to say that if these abductees were educated on sleep issues they would not be thinking they were abducted by aliens?

Oh, Stanton's not perfect (being married to the MJ12 docs among other things), but I still respect the hell out of him and what he's done for the field.

I like your question though.

I know that many nuts and bolts people don't believe that it's possible to go "out of body", but I've theorized for a while now that many of these abductions are "astral" in nature only. God, I hate even using that word, "astral". Makes my sphincter pucker up to use new age words, but in my experience some of them fit.

When you're out of body you can do a lot of the things that are reported in abduction encounters, like being taken through a wall.

Well, psychological phenomena can explain that scientifically. Look at what happens when people take psychedelic drugs. The mind can really mess with you.

As a former daytripper, I've never come close to the experience.. what interests me, are those cases/claims that occure while the subjects are going about their daily activities.

A review of the book, on the web site UFO Iconoclast follows a thread with some unusual comments from a couple members there.
"Both women say they, too, have experienced missing time and were aboard an identical huge craft"

"Betty Hill eventually came to reject the ETH as an explanation for her encounter"

Anything to these claims- if so, can you elaborate on your own experience- and, if Betty has publicly rejected the ETH, what were her thoughts on the source of her experience (A search shows no such claims made from Betty Hill, feel free to scrap that question)

Do all abductees identify their abductors as being extraterrestrial?

Have there been any cases where the abductees said they saw non-humanoid beings (i.e. something that didn't have a head on top a torso, two arms and legs that were discernible as such)? If not, why do you think this should be so? Beings who evolved independently from us on another planet would probably look totally different (and would have to protect themselves from our atmosphere)?

Did Betty Hill ever comment on the image of the "grey aliens" most people have today? They seem a far cry from what she and her husband reported.

I would like to ask if they believe everyone they interview. Don't they ever think some people
are just making up being abducted.

To echo Angel's question a bit, what fraction of cases do you believe actually sleep paralysis episodes, and is there an easy way to differentiate between those cases and ones that may be genuine?
