imdb says he liked the role of Khan so much, that when asked to reprise the charactor for the movie, he took a fee of $100 000, which was pretty small potatoes, even back then.
His bio also shows he was married to the same woman from 1944 to 2007 when she died, had 4 children together.
He spent the last few years of his life in a wheelchair, a surgery in 1991? did not work, and he had constant pain as a result.
He portrayed the grandfather in Spy Kids, and was in his wheelchair for most of the part.
I remember seeing Ricardo in movies and tv when he was a very guapo(sp?) dude, muscular, smooth-faced, and very sexy with his accent. There are not a lot of younger actors around today with the same class.
He and Patrick McGoohan were from a generation of actors we are seeing fade fast.

Great actor...nice guy. Loved his performance in "Wrath of Khan". That movie is filled with great quotes.

The thing that bugs me, is that there's no justice in this world.
Ricardo Montalban dies, and yet... Dane Cook still draws breath.
He's in a ton of movies that should never have been made, and have never made any real money. The guy is a fucking hack.
