Krugman says inventing a space alien invasion could help fix U.S. economy

Not that this guy isn't a dork (I don't really know anything about him,) but I think he was just using the alien invasion as an example of what it would take to help out the economy. To be a bit more "grounded" maybe he should have used a war against another country, as in Wag the Dog, but the point's the same.
