I would certainly like a link to where this was stated. I did a broad search and turned up nothing. If this were the case, who made 'Dr. Strangelove' and 'Clockwork Orange'?

The same guy who made The Shining and 2001 A Space Odyssey!...I assume Snake was making a joke about the myth of Kubrick faking the moon landings.

Apparently the chemicals from the film stock were so strong that kubrick would never have survived going to the set.
