...tissues.
Here's a theory that my 'very' analog, unscientific yet pragmatic brain came up with -- and with only sound bites of information that I could not verify, even if you asked me nicely; but here goes.
<o
I've heard tell (see what I mean?) that the Universe since the much-touted Big Bang is not going to expand and contract as first thought; but is expected to keep on expanding. The expansion, I heard, would eventually destroy the Universe as it is pulled apart and all of the dark matter is ripped to shreds along with - what I guess -- would be the 'light' matter.
It brought to my mind the image of a box of Kleenex. As you pull the tissue out and, blow your nose (or whatever you may be using one to clean up with at the time) the tissue is destroyed; but, low and behold, another tissue has appeared, perking out of the box.
With the destruction of the Universe by its flying apart (analogous to God blowing his nose on a newly extracted tissue), what if another Big Bang begins?
Now see. Here's where I get into flights of fancy to justify my thoughts. What if this has been going on for billions upon billions of years, and what if the whole cycle is exactly the same for every part and every moment repeated, without change, every time?
If this was the case, perhaps those moments of deja vu we experience are just us having a thought or memory of the many times it may have happened before. Probably more in the realms of science-fantasy, but my imagination insisted that I share.</o
