Lost War of the Worlds Harryhausen clip

This is an animation test clip of a Ray Harryhausen version of H.G.Wells's War of the Worlds. It may seem crude in comparison to modern CG efforts, but I'm sure the finished product would have been considerably better. The creature is also the only cinematic version of a Martian that resembles Wells's original design concept.Too bad the film was never made. When I was a kid, I never missed a showing of Harryhausen's movies on Nightmare Theater.

Man I love this stuff. Takes me back to rushing home after grade school to catch the afternoon "Big Show" that showed a lot of movies with stop-motion and the like. You know, the 50s and early 60's stuff. I still love watching those old movies made like that.
