This gets my vote as, by far, the worst show yet.

I would have never imagined that the network ads would seem an island of normalcy compared to the relentlessly implausible and insanely disorganized material presented in this show.

Maybe this is the kind of stuff that people love?

I do know at least one person seemed to be eating it all up.

Maybe it's just me. Since I am a skeptic in the pay of the skeptical cabal, maybe I am just diabolically trying to convince folks here that the guest's presentation wasn't impeccably referenced and carefully argued.

I am sure that you can decide for yourselves but I do detect (in certain shows) a sea change in the way the Paracast differentiated itself from the other shows of this genre.

Or were the angels always there and I just forgot em?

Lance

Hi Lance,

It wasn't just you, but I didn't want to be the first one to say it. ;)

To give any credence to this complete wacko does a great disservice to serious research. He makes Steven Greer seem almost normal by comparison.

I didnt even bother downloading this one as I knew it would not be to my tastes.
I suppose we have to remember that there are some people out there that like the sort of stuff that Louis talks about and its a tough job for The Paracast to appeal to everyone, every week. However I do think that with Paul now gone, they do definately need another guest host who has a slightly more skeptical hat on and can ask some of the tougher questions (albeit in a polite manner) so that some of the shows appeal to the more skeptical types as well. Whatever ones views on Biedny might be, he did atleast bring that to the table.

The three of us (Paul, Lance, and myself) often get flak for being skeptical, but wow - this was an episode for the ages. He had me at about an hour and a half in where he talked about (and I am totally paraphrasing) "The Artist Formerly Known as The Virgin Mary."
He just proved the point that prophecy proponents just change the prophecies to fit the times. No prophecy, as I understand, has ever accurately predicted anything until after the fact, which by definition is not a prophecy.

Yay Captain Snide to the rescue! Any show that gets Lance deployed at ludicrous speed by the Rapid Debunker Response Squad (and Paul Kimball to agree with him) must a good one! I can hardly wait!!!:)

The guy is a nut, and putting him on one week (or anytime, for that matter) after someone sensible like Leslie Kean just undermines Kean's work, and the overall credibility of the show. Sorry if you don't get that.

I think you can see from the nature of some of my questions that I just couldn't buy into Jarvis at all. At least he's not selling anything, as Greer does.

Yeah Gene, I was impressed at how you handled him. I'm looking forward to him being on your show on May 13, 2011. That was a great question by the way.

Assuming I want to bother. :)

I realize that people are into prophecies and all, but this hasn't been my cup of tea.

Of course a few accurate prophecies, assuming we live to survive the event, would go a long way towards changing that.

Yes, I heard that Gene, and credit to you, but if you want to eventually snag bigger and better guests (like a Michio Kaku, for example), then guests like Jarvis need to be weeded out before they ever get on air.

Just my two cents worth.

Then you should be posing that to Christopher O'Brien and Gene Steinberg for having him on in the first place. (And if you are so dismayed by it then i sincerely hope that you do.) I personally have no problem with them both having him on.
I heard him a couple of weeks ago on Dark Matters Radio with Don -(2 separate shows I think). And while i think that some of his claims are wild and certainly unverifiable to say the least I don't feel moved to calling him names. I'll leave that to you and Lance.
How does that undermine Kean's work? Her work can more than stand up to having a so called "nut" (your words) follow her on the Paracast. Probably no different to those who complain about Richard Dolan appearing at some of the conventions he does without, seemingly any loss of reputation.
And while i freely admit that my previous post was a snide insult in Lance's direction, I'm just as surprised that you didn't -"get that!".

Speaking of Steven Greer I read a review of Kean's book at Amazon where it was given just 2 stars and the reviewer recommended that people read Steven Greer instead. That was quite a hoot. :)

This board has a pretty serious bug where it keeps saying a message is too short even if it is 37 paragraphs long. For the past week or two I've been getting it constantly. Tried about 10 times to post the above with Gene's quote in it but finally gave up.

That is weird! You're not using Internet Explorer 6 are you? That's a nightmarish app.
