Mohan Srivastava may be receiving several requests to accompany people to the convenience store.

The statistician figured out how to pick out winning scratch lottery tickets with no scratching involved, instead, according to a published report, he does it by looking at number patterns on grids printed on the cards.

He’s right 95 per cent of the time, the Toronto Star reports.

The 52-year-old scientist first noticed the number patterns on Tic-Tac-Toe scratch-and-wins back in 2003. He alerted the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation and it pulled the tickets out of stores.

Mohan picked up on the pattern in other games and can still predict winning scratch-and-win tickets still on the market.
