Man from earth

Netflix finally sent Man from earth to me, so I watched it over the holiday.
I found it to be very thought provoking. So much so that I had my older children watch it.

It led to some very compelling conversations over the holiday.
I have to say thanks to David B.

good movie. And Very nice twist ending.

Dunno, never seen the movie. I meant different uploads, some were dvd quality some possibly weren't. Some subtitles, some without, different languages, that sort of thing etc.

For those of you with Netflix subscriptions, you can instant download The Man from Earth from that section of the Netflix website and not even have to wait for the DVD to come in the mail. Basically it works like a streaming video, but you can also pause or fast forward and the quality is fine (or at least it is on my computer). We can't get cable TV, or even satellite reception where we live, so we have subscribed to Netflix for years and have enjoyed countless movies or even TV programs on DVD that way.

I watched it a few weeks ago too. I thought it was interesting and it made me think. Sometimes the dialogue and acting were forced enough to be distracting, and the Jesus bit was a little much. But his experience of history was really interesting. He had to learn it just like everyone else.
It seems immortal characters like these in fiction usually have some vast amount of knowledge and wisdom. But this guy didn't even know where he was born and barely remembered his parents. If such a human existed I think they'd be more like this character than, say, Highlander.
