here's an interesting perspective on the outbreak of " tourette's syndrome" going on in le roy.
What's Really Causing Tourettes Symptoms at Le Roy High School? - The Daily Beast
I never knew there was a profile for mass hysteria outbreaks
..." suffering from a conversion disorder, “mass psychogenic illness,” as he refers to the cluster in Le Roy, is rare. When it does strike, it is almost always confined to groups of girls, often in rural areas. During the early 20th century it struck all-female factories; before that, nunneries, according to Timothy F. Jones, an epidemiologist who began studying the phenomenon after a similar outbreak in a high school in Tennessee in 1998. “This isn’t a sexist observation,” says Mechtler. “It’s just a fact. These girls in this case are under an enormous amount of stress, and that has surfaced in this difficult way. The attention, the cameras, all the
social media, it has made things much worse.”...
I seem to remember reading or hearing somewhere a good number of poltergeist-type activity occurs in troubled adolescents, particularly girls. I wonder how much longer it will be before we are heating of similar outbreaks across the country ala "the copycat effect" if it does , lets get loren to make another appearance on the paracast and talk about this underappreciated ( imho) phenomena
