Or it could be like that non-existant "Great Lakes Dive Company" 2006 claim that they found the missing jet flown by Felix Moncla that was chasing a UAP over Lake Superior in 1953. They had a sonar picture and everything. Turned out to be a hoax.
I'm with Hotkafka, I think if THEY thought they had a genuine craft of some sort, they'd be screaming bloody muder about it.

Oh, my bad....I didn't realize the Swedish version of the National Enquirer ran an article about it.
