Meteors swarm over USA West Coast?

i have never seen a meteor change course like that.

There are some great pictures of it.
I watched some of the videos and it sounds like there were different things that people were seeing. Some were in the sky a while, some only a few seconds. The one for only a few seconds could certainly be a meteor, but not the one that lasted for a few minutes and like Pixel said, they don't change course.
I'm curious to find out what it is.
