I have no idea what to make of that. Im a little suspicious, but intrigued enough to click through to the article (tomorrow ;):D)

EDIT - it honestly looks like a photoshop paintbrush stroke. HIGHLY suspicious IMO.
 
Haven't we seen this effect before? I could have sworn that we had. If memory serves it was some kind of digital camera hicup. The processor gets confused and colors everything white within a given area??? I cant remember exactly and I am not an image guy. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Or am I nuts?
