Modern Physics: The Theoretical Minimum: Cosmology

Free episodes:

The more I think about paranormal phenomena as a whole the more I realise that physics is the right tool to understand it and it's just we don't have physics sophisticated enough at this point to do it.

I would like to suggest to watch Leonard Susskind 'Modern Physics: The Theoretical Minimum: Cosmology' on iTunes. The 8 lectures basically cover what modern science has to tell us about how the Universe evolved...I find it's fascinating that you can get this kind of information for free these days.

A great companion to that video series, and some other Susskind lectures, is Susskinds book, "The Cosmic Landscape". I highly recommend the book to anyone who enjoys the videos.

There is a new course "New Revolution in Particle Physics: The Standard Model", again by Leonard Susskind, which was added on iTunes U since Jan. 15, 2010. Fresh stuff :-)

Couple videos with Susskind's speeches:

I'm about to finish the book and there is a peculiar thought that keeps popping in my mind - how much of what Susskind is talking about in the book is known and trivial for entities which stand behind UFOs? Have they succeeded in reconciling General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics? Have they succeeded in developing the Unified Theory or just watching Susskind lectures like I do on my iPad and wondering...:-)
