So I'm trying to sort a bunch of stuff out these days, as always. I'm curious about people's opinions (based in facts) on Jessup and perhaps his relationship with Allende. This is not necessarilly related to the Philidephia Experiment but I'm sure that will play into it.

Morris K. Jessup was no doubt sincere, but this infamous "Varo" or annotated edition of "The Case for the UFO" is pretty much someone's silly prank.

Thanks for the clarifacation Gene :). Is it just that its not provable or is it disprovable?

The late Carl Allen, or Carlos Allende, who was responsible for some of this, was evidently a hoaxer of some sort. Certainly an eccentric of a sort. I don't see any reason to take it seriously.

Yeah that seems to be the impression I get about Allende. It does seem when corresponding with Allende, Jessup broke off correspondance when he started billing himself as Carl Allen. I think that bodes well for Jessup's credability.

This whole story of Jessup having dealings with people at ONR, is it substantiated?

Poor Jessup, I read one of his books, the man was so gullible. For him, everything was estraterrestrial, everything was unexplainable, and I didn't like his writing style, as if he achieved the absolute truth.
