Mothman or fake?

Free episodes:

This is a very interesting new sighting coming out of Chicago:

Phantoms and Monsters: Paranormal Phenomena, Bigfoot, Mothman, UFOs and Other Unexplained Anomalies

Kind of looks like a kite to me.....What do you think?

Read the article through to determine your opinion.

Very interesting, but that is an old sighting.
Back in the 90s I first published the following article on the Internet at a Cryptozoology
site and asked if anyone else had experienced the same thing.
I got back two responses both where from Chicago.

Quite an account. It kind of reminds me of some of the stories about the Skinwalker ranch. Could it be that some places are indeed a portal? Is it all in the mind and if so just what is the mind? Firings of a mass of grey matter in your head? I don't think so, I think that's the hardware. A computer of sorts. But, I honestly don't know. I am troubled by the Castenada reference because he was found to be less than honest about some of his experiences. Anyway, thanks for sharing here. Food for thought on the paranormal. It's also good to take a break from all the u.f.o. debate from time to time.

So plagiarism notwithstanding, this little article says 8/22/2011 - Reported 10/13/2011. Either way it is an interesting picture.

Like you I had some problems with Castenada's works too, but some of the things he wrote rang true with shamanic practices.

You know the more I thought about it....Why does this have to be the Mothman for? It could very well be the Jersey Devil or perhaps another species of creature unlike either one.

When I showed the picture to my wife, she thought it looked like a large bat.

Lastly, one of the aspects of the taking of this picture that I felt was interesting was in its supposed randomly drawn facilitation. Supposedly he was just taking a picture of the Indian when he happened onto the flying thing. Normally when I view this sort of evidence it's usually panned on for no reason other than a per-arranged setup, or someone hoaxing the event. In the early 90's I don't believe we had the ability to digitize photos as well as we do today?

My first thought was a megabat

The megabat, contrary to its name, is not always large: the smallest species is 6 centimetres (2.4 in) long and thus smaller than some microbats.[1] The largest reach 40 centimetres (16 in) in length and attain a wingspan of 150 centimetres (4.9 ft), weighing in at nearly 1 kilogram (2.2 lb).

Some can get as large a wingspan as 4.9 feet

Experience has taught me that we know less about our realm than we think we do.
