..... Is it worth it?

I remember Gene saying some time ago on the show that he was a paid-up member, but is membership actually worth it?
 
Hard for me to answer for someone else. I didn't regret the, 12 bucks a year, or however much it cost when I was a member in my late teens to mid 20s. Today their journals are online I saw once. Oh that's right, Gene says they call them a newsletter these days.
 
Yeah I once went to their site with the intent of signing up to some sort of regular communication from them, but it required paid membership. Forget that.
 
Thanks for the replis guys... there is a free newsletter, but I was wondering what the paid membership is like..... not that I think I will be joining any time soon, if I had cash to spare, I would rather donate it to the paracast
