Only those that know, know.??? you lost me man
Are you saying I have a bad attitude, dude! LOL
I sent Robert Hastings an email describing the UFO activity here. I have communicated with him, off and on, since he was interviewed on the Paracast. He insisted on talking with me on the telephone. He later sent me an email expressing that "we need to get you a video camera." He sends another email saying he is not "optimistic," about getting a video recorder. The entire situation turned ugly. He only contacted me to pick my brain. He is a PRICK! Simple as that!??? you lost me man

He gets on average $1,500.00 for each presentation he gives at colleges. With him it's all about UFOs and Nukes. Like he has really made a difference in the world. With him it is more about the business than it is about the importance of the subject matter. He and I occupy different parts of the spectrum. He did get me so riled up I bought my own camcorder. I works good in low light. I hope it will work. I don't have the money at this time to buy the equipment that is needed to obtain the best results recording UFOs. I will do the best I can with what I have to work with.that really sucks voyager .. sorry man that really sucks.

It has been cloudy, cold, and raining here ever since I got the camcorder. The extended forecast is for more clouds, and rain. Figures! I only had so much money to play with. I got a good deal on eBay for a new Sony camcorder. Unlike the previous model, it doesn't have a viewfinder, and I ordered a viewfinder that fits on the screen. It's a pain in the ass. I could get a telephoto conversion lens to double the power but then I can't adjust the manual focus to infinity, and the object would not be in focus. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I will try to modify this camcorder to work recording UFOs. With the manual focus setting it does focus at night!Keep at it my friend.. I have started my nightly observations so I hope to catch some thing at some point.. I have only a small digital cam right now but it will have to do.
This is a good camcorder for low light. It has the Exmor sensor technology. I can set it to low lux, or to night shot for infrared. I could get a filter for the lens and record UFOs in daylight. Sometimes during daylight all they reflect is infrared. They are invisible to the naked eye, but they show up in infrared. It cleared off last night and I saw some high altitude ones moving very slowly. I put a viewfinder on the LCD screen and I am going to try that out and see how it works.Voyager good to hear you got a camcorder. I finally got one to. It's about the cheapest you can buy and the low light recording is rather dismal. I think it still would have worked half way decent when I saw something very strange go by with a bright moon background. Pretty hard to describe what I saw, that's why it would be nice to catch some kind of footage of these strange things for further analysis. I think night vision would be nice as well but there seems to be a limited market for cheap night vision camcorders. Keep looking up.

If he didn't think he could score a video camera why did he bring it up in the first place.Crappy, no call for him treating you as if you had no self respect.
