Well trainedobserver I respectfully tend to disagree with that conclusion. I used to feel Bob Lazar was a fraud, however after studying George Knapp's findings I changed my mind. I think Lazar was legit, thats just my peronsal opinion.
Let me correct Don's quote"
Actually I think Don said: "Gene this field is so full of nuts and flakes that we are talking about corn flakes here Gene"
Something like that.
If I recall I believe I said "fruits, nuts and flakes" which came out as granola cereal.

. And I could post all the reasons why but again this thread would end up being a 200 page debate on the Lazar story.
Honestly I would be super interested to hear all of your reasons. Listen there was no bigger fan of his than me way back in the day. But, his story just doesnt add up. However, if you feel up to it, lets create a new thread and walk completely through each piece of his story. A few years ago his story was an all consuming fascination for me. I can dust off the old research and we can take it issue by issue. I would absolutely love to drive a nail in the Lazar story coffin or breathe new life into it as the evidence allows. Hell, I know there are angles I didn't pursue, I had a list of them. So if anyone is up for it, I'm up for a trip down the rabbit hole!I politely disagree. And I could post all the reasons why but again this thread would end up being a 200 page debate on the Lazar story.
The Lazar debate is never going to be solved.
Some buy it some don't
My theory comes from information that could possibly point towards MIT actually being originally a creation of the CIA. Of course this cannot be 100% confirmed, however there are many leads that suggest MIT is a creation of the intelligence community.
Ron in all seriousness you should be interviewed live by Don on DMR maybe even Rich could join in and you could all debate all the evidence pro and con for Lazar, would make for one heck of a show!
If I recall I believe I said "fruits, nuts and flakes" which came out as granola cereal.

I am sure that there are many others more qualified than me to champion the anti-Lazar claims campaign.A DMR show on Lazar with Ron Collins as a guest would be an instant DMR "classic" episode.
If I recall I believe I said "fruits, nuts and flakes" which came out as granola cereal.

I have to do a proper quote on my favorite Don Ecker quote in this thread and it's from an early episode of the Paracast
"If Jim Mosley and I were walking in the desert and we were a thousand miles from any water source and Jim self combusted in front of me, i wouldn't piss on him to put the fire out."
So, where is the video from STS-48? Have you seen the vid from STS-48 with the "shot"? The flash blanked the screen, not that puny little puff you see just above.
And let us NOT FORGET that the picture never changed like it would have had the thruster been pushing the shuttle around. The picture did change later when they were adjusting to have their "water dump" which is what NASA tried to claim the object was at first. This is not my first rodeo with this case.

"All of the space shuttle's rocket engines use the same "hypergolic" propellants, meaning two different chemical compounds that ignite on contact without the need of any ignition source such as an electrical spark. The fuel is monomethyl hydrazine (MMH) and the oxidizer is nitrogen tetroxide (NTO). This is fairly common knowledge and can be found on many web sites
The important fact about the RCS thrusters that I learned from the NASA engineer is that the two valves that simultaneously open to admit MMH and NTO into the rocket combustion chamber are not located immediately next to the combustion chamber walls. The valve mechanisms cannot withstand the intense heat generated by combustion (about 3500 Celsius)."
