It was kind of late at night and I was driving home after getting off of work (call center). I had been at my job nearly a year with the same schedule and I always took the same way home every night about the same time. It was a really clear night and I was completely awake and sober. I was driving through Catoosa, Oklahoma on Rt 66 (you know the road) heading toward Claremore. That particular part of the road had very slightly rolling hills. The road is built up and if you look to the side, the road sits even with about 1/2 way up the pecan trees to the side. I had just passed the Blue Whale road monument and in the distance I saw a really really bright white light. There is a cell phone tower near where the light was comming from and I thought they had put a new light in or were working on the tower or something. As I drove closer, the light got brighter and brighter, but I was still thinking it was from a cell phone tower. Finally as I came over a hill, the source of the light was in full view and was really close to the right side of the road. What I saw must have made me appear to be a drunk driver. I slowed the car way down as I drove by and was stretching to my passanger side as much as I could to try to look up through my passanger window to see this thing better. I was all alone and I am pretty sure I said "holy crap! It's a UFO" outloud.

This thing seemed right out of a movie, except it was way bigger than I remember in the movies. I also remember saying "are you freaking kidding me?!?!" outloud. And then laughing. A little side note about myself...I grew up in a haunted house and have had loads of paranormal experiences. I always considered myself a paranormal magnet. I have always been interested in the paranormal....except for UFOs. I always found them totally snooze-fest boring. The only thing more boring than UFOs were USOs.

Okay back to my story... As I was saying, this thing seemed right out of a movie. It was a classic disc-shape. It was just barely over the tops of the trees and it was just floating there. I opened my window and I couldn't hear anything and the branches of the trees below were not moving. None of the trees were moving. The craft was at least as big as a football field. It was absolutely massive and really close. Like I said the road was kind of off the ground compared to the trees. It didn't quite hang over the road, but it was so close. I could see the bottom of it really clearly. The big white light was in the middle and there were two smaller white lights on the side of the big one. There were no colored lights anywhere, just the 3. One thing that later struck me as odd, was that I could see the seams of the craft underneath. The thing was made of shiny silver colored metal, but you could tell that it wasnt made of like a solid slick piece. It kind of looked like the bottom of the ship from star-trek. Once I past it from farther away, the disc shape had a little hump in the middle at the top. The only thing that could have made it look even more like something out of the movies would have been to have a little window on the hump with little greys waiving to me.

As I was swearving around under it at about 2 mph, I looked up at the road and saw some other cars going by.Although it was late, it was a Friday or Saturday and people were driving home from the bars. It was weird though, because it almost seemed like they didn't notice it. This giant well lit metal disc the size of a football field was just right there and no one was slowing down or nearly swerving off the road like I was. Then next day I wondered if maybe it has some way of making itself not as noticible to other people and I just happened to be one of the few freaks who could notice this thing. I also thought about hypnosis, because once a hypnotist made me go sit back down in the audience because I just wasn't getting hypnotized like all the other volunteers.

I remember thinking that I could try to take a picture with my camera phone, but when the view showed on the grainy screen what the picture would look like, I didn't even bother.

I never saw it fly away. I reluctantly drove home. I kept looking back at it though as I drove away. I kept thinking I should turn back and look at it some more, but for some reason I kept on driving. I was really excited though and called and woke up a close friend on the way home to tell them what had happened. I was really embarassed about it though. All of my closest friends know about my paranormal experiences that I have been dealing with my whole life. Eventhough I saw this UFO, it seemed far fetched even for me. I even told my friends how embarrased I was to be describing my experience outloud. I didn't want anyone to doubt my sanity. I would joke and tell them that I'm probably going to wake up to see Bigfoot going through my garbage bin one day.

My paranormal experiences continue, but I have not seen another UFO. I still take the same way home from work nearly every night and when I come up over this particular little hill where it happened, I wonder if I am ever going to see it again or anything like it.

why would you just drive away? nothing could have torn me away from this type of sighting.

I agree, but if I was alone I would have probably been scared.
Also, you really should have tried to take a picture, especially if the object was so bright. A crappy picture is better than no picture.

I still really don't know why I drove away. It wasn't moving or doing anything and I just left.

I will say, it wasn't a scary experience. It was exciting, but I didn't feel threatened at all. I have no way of knowing, but it didnt even seem to notice me there looking at it. I guess I still really don't know what to think of it. It did make me more interested in UFOs.

This is my first time to ever write about it or share it with anyone besides my friends/family. I do know that sharing this story (esp with my friends) was scarier than object was.

I've had a similar experience, except it was day-time and a giant cigar. I stood on the side of the road looking at this thing, and people just kept driving by. It was way bigger than a commercial jet. My girlfriend could see it, but she didn't want to look at it or talk about it. After several minutes I just got in my car and drove on.

The thing stuck out like a sore thumb. I just think that, if people driving by could see, they too would have nearly crashed or at least pulled over to gawk at the thing. It was really to obvious to just block out.

So is the fact that the central-banking system is robbing the country blind. It's as obvious as obvious gets, but it would involve compromising one's belief-system to deal with it.

Thats what happens when people just believe without questioning anything. I guess it is just easier for them that way. Kind of like blind faith.... I would never be able to get into that.

My girlfriend threating to drive away, leaving about a 30 mile walk was enough for me. Plus, the damn thing was giving me the creeps.

That's when you get all mature about the situation and take the keys while reminding her how much stronger you are than her.

I'm sure she's quite aware that I'm stronger than her, but she's got the booty. UFO, or booty...you do the math.

The evidence continues to mount that theres weird shit flying around all the time that simply cannot be perceived by the majority of people on the planet.

That is soooo annoying.:D

Okay - that one shows up a lot in stories told by UFO witnesses, I can't even begin to guess at what it might mean. But, something VERY strange is going on with all this.

I caught that one, too. I also grew up in a house, across the street from a cemetery, and it too was chock full'o spooks.

I never have, nor never will have sex used against me as leverage. And in all honesty, I get enough sex that I'd much rather stay and watch the UFO.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person on this forum that has not even had any remotely paranormal experience. I guess that's a good thing, right? I hear some of the experiences that people here have had, and regardless of what has caused them, they sound creepy as hell.

Don't feel alone. I'm pretty much in that boat too. People around me have had all sorts of unusual encounters -- doesn't happen to me. Maybe I'm lucky though.

I guess not having had any experiences is what has made me such a skeptic, although as I've said in another thread, this place has made me less skeptical.
I was thinking of this post as I was in the car on the way home last night. I live in an area where there has been a lot of UFO activity, apparently the UFO hub of Quebec, but I've seen absolutely nothing. I was wondering what it would be like to see an object like the one mentioned here.
One thing I know for sure is that if I ever do have an experience like this one, I would want to have someone with me, and a good camera!

I've had five UFO "sightings" over my life, you can read them here;

https://www.theparacast.com/forum/my-experiences-ufos-t4122.html?t=4122

I wouldn't call any of them creepy or scary in the slightest, more just incredible and astounding. There are really no words I can use to describe the anxiety and excitement that I felt during some of these sightings, namely the fireballs and the small white balls. I would give anything to experience those again, they were without any doubt, the most fascinating moments of my life.
