Mysterious aerial spiral

This is seriously odd:

Any ideas out there as to what this is??? It has totally flummoxed me ... but that of course isn't a particularly difficult thing to do

It appears to be a contrail that is bending over the horizon with the curve of the Earth. But then, I didn't watch the entire video.

That does look very strange --- it is certainly some kind've "cloud/contrail/smoke" type thingy (not exotic technology) but I've never seen anything quite like it.

It might just be smoke from a nearby fire. It doesn't seem to extend to the ground, though and appears to be below what looks like a low cloud cover.

Interesting, but I don't think it's paranormal.

Interesting comments so far. Looking at it myself, I feel its quite unlike any contrail I've ever seen. It seems too stable and structured, and too ... spirally

Maybe the powers that be are putting too much metal into them thar contrails/chemtrails ??? I remain, dear reader, utterly baffled.

I took a photo os this cork-screw type spiral on Halloween night a few years ago. I'll dig around and try and find it then post it here.
