Mysterious Desert--Interesting Parallels

Paging Christopher O'Brien

I just ran across this page, and it's intriguing to say the least:

http://inexplicata.blogspot.com/2011/03/ruins-in-shifting-sands.html

There are some rather startling similarities between some of the events described in the Inexplicata piece and Chris's first book, Mysterious Valley. Particularly the "phantom jeep" that seems to appear out of some *ahem* sand dunes, Unusual Animal Deaths (with a weird twist) and even bizarre phenomena that seem to involve military activity. Invisible helicopters, shamans, archaeological evidence of some of the earliest civilizations on that continent. It's positively eerie! Are you familiar with any of this, Chris? I like the author's style and his English is excellent by any standard. Beyond that, I know little about him. Could he be a possible guest on the Paracast? Has he already been on?

Bumping this into the weekend. Surely some will find this interesting. It's not a long read, and I'm pretty sure Corrales is not a crank.

Thanks for posting this link. NO I wasn't familiar w/ the material in Scott's article. Fascinating, I must say! There do seem to be some interesting parallels as you've pointed out. You've prompted me to do a little digging on this subject of weird phenomena in the desert, thanks.

I'm pretty sure there has been links to the Thunder Bird with the desert as in the thunderbird just appearing out of nowhere...
