NASA's Apollo 17 "Hand Job" - "More evidence of the Apollo lies"

Free episodes:

Anaximander

Skilled Investigator
This guy lunacognita has been investigating Apollo and NASA for years. He's basically a NASA historian who knows more about Apollo than any of us.

He says he found evidence that NASA was lying about some hand-injuries the astronauts developed during Apollo 17 And he has proof. Now he doesn't say we faked it or anything like that, but he does point out some flaws in the story we have been given by NASA. I believe he may be on to something here:

In this presentation, we will be taking a comprehensive look at an evidence contradiction from the Apollo 17 mission. Specifically, the discrepancies in NASA's Apollo 17 mission archives highlighted here are related to the hand and finger injuries that astronauts Cernan and Schmitt suffered during their 22 hours and 4 minutes of EVAs outside on the lunar surface.

We begin here by first examining the official NASA archive evidence from Apollo 17 (evidence recorded both during and after the mission) to conclusively demonstrate that the idea of "significant hand trauma" suffered by the Apollo moonwalkers due to the design limitations of their EV pressure gloves was most definitely a very serious and recognized problem that could not be avoided. That evidence is important to appreciate because it clearly establishes both the legitimacy and severity of the declared hand and finger trauma that Apollo 17 astronauts Cernan and Schmitt both extensively admit to suffering from.

The presentation then moves on to more closely examining the discrepancies between what the official historical record tells us happened to Cernan and Schmitt's hands during the mission versus what we see (or rather, do not see) in the available mission archive image evidence. As this examination will show you, the descriptive testimony from Cernan and Schmitt regarding their hand and finger trauma simply does not appear to match the official NASA photographic public archive evidence from their mission.

This evidence does not mean that Apollo 17 astronauts Cernan, Schmitt and Evans did not journey to the Moon. I personally do not doubt at all that Cernan and Schmitt landed on the lunar surface and walked around up there, and I am also quite sure that the hand and finger trauma they so vividly describe suffering was real and most definitely did occur.

What really happened during the Apollo Program was a multi-faceted series of lies that were designed to protect the "greater truths" about those missions by hiding them from the public behind a well-built cover-story veil - the implementation of which was covertly justified by the Powers That Be under the auspices of "maintaining global security and stability".

This evidence shown here in this presentation is highlighting just one discrepancy of many that exist in the public Apollo archives, and it helps to further demonstrate that the official historical record claims of what happened (and when) during the Apollo Program is not necessarily the "complete and uncensored" truth that so many still believe it to be.

For anyone interested in checking the accuracy of the claims I make in this video, here below is a link to the official Apollo 17 Photographic Index from the NASA archives. In this document, you can see that all the 35mm imagery I show in this presentation was indeed exposed during "TEC" (Trans-Earth Coast), which was during the return journey to Earth after the moonwalks had already taken place.

I wont claim its the answer, but the first thing that came to mind is a capsule is a sort of hyperbaric chamber.

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is the medical process of breathing 100 percent oxygen under increased atmospheric pressure. The patient enters a specialized hyperbaric chamber that regulates the flow of oxygen and controls air pressure.
HBOT allows the blood to carry more oxygen to the tissues, promoting new tissue and blood vessel growth and assisting in the healing process by permitting skin grafting or spontaneous healing, say physicians at The Hyperbaric Medicine Center at the University of California at San Diego. A high level of oxygen in the blood helps to fight infections caused by a variety of bacteria, some that only live in the absence of oxygen. It also enables white blood cells to destroy many kinds of bacteria more efficiently.

  • The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society formed a committee in 1976 that established a list of conditions for which HBOT should always be approved. The therapy proves especially useful in treating carbon monoxide poisoning. Hyperbaric oxygen quickens the cleansing of carbon monoxide from the body.
Injuries where bodily tissues have been crushed from gunshot wounds, falls or motor vehicle accidents can benefit from HBOT as increased oxygen is moved to the affected wounds, hastening healing and battling infection.
The therapy is also highly recommended for burn injuries, skin grafts, the healing of wounds which refuse to respond to normal medical

My brother had the same theory for a while earlier tonight.

But then I pointed out that that the pictures were taken immediately after the spacewalks. And the capsules operate on a oxygen-gas mixture at less than one atmosphere of pressure (5 pounds/square inch instead of 15 as on the surface of the Earth). I don't think we can attribute any lack of apparent injury to a hyperbaric effect, considering that they experience more atmospheric pressure on the earth than in the capsule.

Plus, those images from the CSM show healthy hands, versus the cake-cutting images where Schmitt's fingernails are blackened by blood underneath them.

The hands were also fine right before the cake-cutting images were allegedly taken, as we can see from the carrier images taken after capsule recovery.

*My brother argues that the return to sea level facilitated faster healing. He can't cite anything, but he 'vaguely remembers reading something about it" and how "the Russians didn't have that problem as they operated at one atmosphere". I'll post anything he finds.

Just found out the following: Being in space compromises healing ability.

So we can scratch that whole idea about the capsule having healing powers. Also, we can rule out the blood-under the nail as being from decompression, as the return to earth resulted in increased pressure being experienced relative to the low pressure of the CSM and capsule. However, I have this idea that the fluid distribution as a result of zero gravity might have prevented those injuries from appearing in the photos. And that it wasn't until they got back to earth and their bodies fluid distribution changed that the blood appeared.

Here is a paper that deals with health and space: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=7&sqi=2&ved=0CEYQFjAG&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.marsdrive.com%2FLibraries%2FDownloads%2FPhysiological_Issues_in_Human_Spaceflight_-_Review_and_Proposed_Countermeasures.sflb.ashx&rct=j&q=rapid%20healing%20upon%20return%20to%20earth%20nasa&ei=_qlkTuSsLOft0gH_-6SfCg&usg=AFQjCNEJ4EINGLuoId41vy39mlMIgnQiUQ&cad=rja

I still think that we could have faked those cake photos, though. Maybe not even for nefarious reasons. Some boss could have been all like "After the bitching and whining you did about your hands we better make them look at least a little injured. They heard your whining - do you want the Soviets to thinks you're a pussy? ...Then put on the nail polish, son"
