So my old, trusty ASUS Chromebook bit the dust yesterday. I used it 7 days a week for quite a few hours a day, so I can say I got my moneys worth out of it (it was $299). So after doing quite a bit of research I ended up with getting a ACER. The screen is over 15" and it's 1080 HD. 4GB RAM, 16GB flash drive. Speakers are way better then my old one as they fire upwards. If you're looking for a new, cheap way to surf the web, send email, watch Netflix, etc. - check this model out;

Acer - 15.6" Chromebook - Intel Celeron - 4GB Memory - 16GB Solid State Drive - Linen White

How long did the "old, trusty ASUS Chromebook" last?

I have a $12.88 Walmart watch that I use in place of an Apple Watch (which I couldn't afford even if I wanted one). So I know about cheap.

Got it free for attending a free real estate flipping seminar promo:

There's no name. But it does all kinds of stuff.

The old ASUS sits next to my three broken Macbooks (two Macbook pro's and the black Macbook) and my broken iMac. So I have a nice pile of 4 broken Apple computers. Don't get me wrong, I love Apple. But once I thought to myself "All I use is a web browser & email. Why am I going to spend $1500+ on a Macbook?" These Chromebooks do what I need them to do. And for $249? Who cares if it breaks after a year or two.
