Dear Paracast listeners,
I would like to inform the Paracast and its listeners that I have started work on a new science fiction novel, and would like to outline the plot to said listeners in order to increase my pre-order sales and to generally drum up some future business.
The Plot:
A one armed Swiss farmer is visited by aliens from a far and strangely distant planet. Through these visitations, he learns that (a) wedding cakes can fly, and (b), that he must get together a ragtag team of abductees, experiencers and bs specialists to help the aliens save the universe ... in general.
The people he recruits on this most important of missions are as follows:
(1) A time-travelling dentist who can time-travel and also do some dentistry, apparently
(2) A doctor who can bicycle several hundred miles in one day without doing himself a mischief, and who has an strange empathy for alien babies
(3) A gentleman of Middle Eastern origin who can bend spoons and thats about it really
(4) A elderly bearded gentleman who has the ability to believe in nothing at all and put up a huge amount of (probably) somebody elses money just to prove it
and
(5) Kal Korff
I propose this book to be named ...
ATTACK OF THE THICKOIDS
(with sincere and abject apologies to Messrs Gene and Grayson Steinberg
