Is this supposed to be TNG or TOS era, but NOT in the reboot movie universe..so, in the original universe?..or a third, new universe??

Supposedly a new cast and a traditional mission, but they haven't said which universe yet.

You get one week free. It's $5.99 per month thereafter. As if we need yet another subscription service to pay for. I'd much rather you spend that money on Paracast+.

An official announcement from a recognized news source (the one owned by SyFy channel) that quotes CBS Television Studios:

It's official! Star Trek finds a home with CBS as a new TV series

It's real.
