Now THIS is interesting... looks like it changes direction, and goes both down like a meteor, and back up before it crashes.

I've never seen a fireball do this before.

Quite interesting. Unfortunately, the camera shakes so much that it is impossible to say what we are looking at. Could be a misfiring rocket..?

I had a thread on here about this already, it turned out to be an airplane with fireworks on it, so I deleted it. You can see info here: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread334737/pg4

An airplane with fireworks on it?

No, that was an assumption made by a poster there.

It wasn't debunked.

Although it did look like fireworks--I'm not sure how easy it would be to light them from a remote-controlled plane and have it keep flying. I'll tell you one thing, if I owned a RC-plane (those things are expensive!) I sure wouldn't let anybody attach fireworks to it!

Acrobatic plane with pyro attached to the wingtips at the 2008 Gasparilla Kids Parade seems awfully compelling to me given the photos and videos that were linked over at ATS. I'll admit I didn't know what it was when I first saw it as I had no idea that kind of thing was done. I've seen smoke on acrobatic planes but didn't realize that they did pyrotechnics as well.

What strikes me as somewhat interesting here is that the local ABC affiliate ran it as a ufo story. You would assume that the local news would have put two and two together.

Well, it certainly is a beautiful display... I wonder if we'll be seeing more of this sort of thing in Independence day celebrations... I'll take two! In the photo you can see a light on the plane... I guess it must be an actual plane rather than a RC plane... Still seems kind of dangerous, must be a stunt plane of some kind. Looks very cool. If they can do this sort of thing at air shows, I don't see why not for fireworks.

But we never had fireworks like that when I was a kid... snif!

If you check the links I provided, they all answer this.

Sorry, Miah, I didn't see the link. Yes, it's thoroughly debunked at this point.
