Hey Folks,
I've got a couple more strange and interesting lunar features for you to have a look at. Some of you may have seen one or two before, as I've tucked them into a recent thread but there are a couple fresh one here for you guys.
For starters, have a look at this nice 90 degree angle and all those trails - this one is from the new LROC, check out the address at the bottom right of the image to explore the big version (it is a fascinating image and is quite 'busy' with lots of trails):
The next one is from the old lunar orbiter 5 probe, as you can see it is a triangular feature with some symmetry in the upper half:
Here are a few from last month, some of you may not have seen these ones...
Let's start with this 'standing' stone. It appears to be a tall natural monolith on the lunar surface:
Here is high albedo object with a wobbly trail behind it that looks like a mountain or hill-road. It is a pity we don't have a higher res shot of this winding trail and the boulder that made it:
And to finish this off, I'd like to repost a nice lunar UFO that a man called Cary Martyneuk discovered on the apollo 12 DAC footage. The object looks like a glitch, but this thing is casting its shadow on the lunar surface and it is a big shadow - the CSM and LEM couldn't cast such a shadow:
I hope you folks have enjoyed these images.
