Nick Pope - Much Ado About Nothing

Paranormal Adept
I was always skeptical about Nick Pope. That is, what can this guy truly tell us? I am sure he is not about to reveal anything of a secret nature. That was revealed when David Biedny tried to probe Pope by asking him to speak about certain individuals such as Gary McKinnon, Steven Greer, etc. He clammed right up. I wish I had counted how many times Pope told us he worked for the British Government for 21 years. What did the Paracast listeners learn from all this experience? Not much I am afraid.

I suppose it depends on what your expectations of Nick are. Nicks dealing with UFO's pretty much by his own admitions is was basically that he studied lots of different incidents and a small percentage remained unexplainable.
I'm not suprised he doesnt really want to comment on Dr Greer or Gary McKinnon because they are both nutjobs with highly radical claims and not a grain of proof to back them up. Nick is a very grounded individual in my opinion who simply has some useful information on how governments collect data on UFO's. However, i do agree that I am pretty sure he wouldnt have been breaking any law to talk about Gary Mckinnon because he is not in government anymore (and i dont think he was at the time of the events) so there is nothing illegal in him expressing an opinion.
In my opinion he kept clarifying how long he had been in government to back up the fact that if there was any sort of cover up going on, he would know about it. And to be fair, i believe him.
I think non of the european countries have any idea whats going on with UFO's, they no something is happening but they dont know what it is. As for the americans... well I am on the fence about any possible recovered craft etc, but it does seem odd that they only seem to be happening in the US.
IMO, if you want to hear more 'out-there' stories, I would just go listen to the Steven Greer podcast, if for nothing else, its a real good laugh, I was literally crying with laughter the whole way through, particularly in the 15 minute round up.

Ditto what Hoffmeister said with the addition that I can fully understand the caution displayed concerning an ongoing court case, regardless of whether or not commenting would have been legal.

What I learned from the interview is that Pope's a little bit smarter than I thought he was.

I do have to say though, i think he took the 'I can't really talk about that' too far when they asked him the question about whats the craiziest story he heard a potentially intoxicated Ufologist say after the X-Confrerence. I mean he didnt have to name any names, we were just looking for an amusing story.
Anyway, i suppose all this belongs in the other nick pope thread really.
