Not bad !!... if this works out, they might not need to complete ITER in France after all. Whoever wins this fusion race controls the planet and creates an energy paradigm that has stupendous impacts on humanity.

Bye bye fossil fuels and refineries. No need to support dictators in the middle-east, Exxon, Mobil, BP, Shell... etc, etc... start selling your stocks. Entire oil-based economies flushed down the drain, watch pension portfolios based on crude drag the elderly into poverty.

Apparently leaders of the world economies don't like paradigms, watch this one get crated into the warehouse lol... Indiana where are you ?

The last entry reads

but when you see this in the early stages of its development

In September 2008 the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA publicly pre-solicited a contract for research on an Electrostatic "Wiffle Ball" Fusion Device<SUP id=cite_ref-28 class=reference>[29]</SUP>. the pre-solicitation was targeted toward EMC2 as preferred supplier.

The result was obvious.........

If this device works it will be kept for military applications and top secret.
I hope im wrong, but my cynical side cant help but wonder why the project has dropped off the radar

I hope im wrong, but my cynical side cant help but wonder why the project has dropped off the radar

Was following that project a few years back, Navy has funded it since... and my guess is that the Navy will probably hide it and use it as a power generation device for nuclear submarines replacing the traditional less environment and human friendly fission plant.

A compact device like this has critical strategic importance. (if it works)
