Ah yes, the ubiquitous "They". Personally, I like to image the "They" as being the Pigs in Space muppets. It kinda makes me smile.
Listen, I hate "woo-woo" more than anyone. You don't know how often I wish the phenomenon would stick strictly to the nuts and bolts aspect. It would be so cut and dried then. But the problem is High Strangeness. It creeps up in too many documented cases. So then you have to wonder what the hell it is. I wish I could be like Friedman and just refuse to acknowledge it. Alas, I am nearly ashamed to say that it also intrigues me nearly as much as the nuts and bolts aspects. The bottom line is this, As long as strangeness remains a facet of the phenomenon in significant percentages the "woo-wooers" out there have an open door to express their views. As long as it is done respectfully that is.
