So for the time being , all aspects of obamacare are in place, but I think I'm missing something here. Why is romney so much against it when he started the whole ball of wax rolling in massachusetts and why did obama push so hard for it when he voted against it as a senator in ' 05? Could this be one of those political divide things where if it comes out of the mouth of one party it's automatically an abomination by the other party?

To the tune of "mrs. robinson"

Where have you gone mitchell daniels , our nation turns it's lonely eyes to you woo woo woo.

Could be? Of course it's politics. The individual mandate, for example, was dreamed up by Republicans in the early 1990s. Romney was in favor of the health care law before he was against it.

"Obamacare" is not the healthcare reform the Obama administration originally wanted. It is largely the result of intransigent big $$ Congressional politics.

well in his address yesterday I did hear him address the issue of why he voted against a national government sponsered heath care system as a senator, and he said his plan took care of that concern. I don't remember what It was but I will look into it as it sounded reasonable. Not that it matters what I think, as come november, we will have it or we wont. now I am finding it amusing whether it is considered a tax or not. If it is considered a tax by the supreme court does that make it a law ? a tax I believe it has to first be brought up to ways and means committee in the republican dominated house so that being the case why is mitt vowing to recind it if he becomes president ( mitch, ron, where the hell are you guys?) all it would take is to die in committee I would think and scenario is pretty much a foregone conclusion

Federal vs states rights has always been the stickiest of issues. My hope is that now the fat is in the fire, Congress will be forced to stop posturing in sound bites and work on sensible compromises.
