A quick personal thanks to Dave and Gene for getting Billy on the show. His De Void blog is one of my favorite blogs and his humor and approach to covering the UFO issue is always refreshing and insightful. IMO we are lucky to have him covering this issue.

Only half way through the episode but so far so good!

Am I missing all the talk on the latest episode or is this thread it? Usually by Thursday night even one of the less interesting episodes has got more talk than this.
I have the Oct 18th episode but have been so busy with school I haven't listened. Now, I'm wondering if I should even make the time!

Come on somebody, make my decisions for me.::)

Definitely worth a listen, I dug this episode! Finally some people in the mainstream media honestly covering this issue without any cheeky bias. It was really interesting to hear all of theirs opinions on why this issue is not covered as it should be in the mainstream media and refreshing to listen to people in the media who recognize this.

I watched "I Know what I saw" on monday night and sent out an email blast, facebook post and tweet to everyone I know to get other people to watch it too.

What a good piece of evidence that movie is, kudos to James Fox, fantastic job. Very hard to argue with anything in there, no conclusions just straight up extremely credible people telling their stories along with radar, photos, vid clips, and discussion of soil radiation. Compelling stuff which presents the phenomena as it is. I hope James is able to book that tour. If he ever comes to the DC area I will definitely be there! It did seem the audio dubbing of the movie on the history channel was a little bit off? Anyone else notice that or was a imagining this?

I think the response to this thread could be represenative of the movie - I Know What I Saw. Not much to argue with in the movie, it is what it is, a solid documentation of highly credible people and vetted evidence presented in a straight forward manner about UFO's. Most of us realize this is going on so perhaps that doesn't motivate others to discuss, who knows?

Even my mom who watched it now agrees this is probably going on, but like others doesn't really think it's worth thinking about, which seems totally crazy to me? How could this not be a major source of thought and discussion to anyone? It redefines what we have been told about reality since we were born!

Hi all. I have been listening to the show for quite a while but it's the first time I've posted. I thought this episode was excellent - topical, informative and engaging. It seems like Leslie, Billy & James are making a huge effort to get this issue into the mainstream media and generate some serious interest from the public and the scientific and academic communities. Not an easy task.

I really enjoyed 'I Know What I Saw' and see it as a first step to introducing the UFO issue to people who know little about it. I rarely bring it up as conversation but to those who are ignorant or skeptical of this phenomena (I'm pretty much convinced at this stage of the ETH) it's a gateway to sparking their interest without putting them off by all the craziness that surrounds this field (enough time for that later;)).

Thanks for having them on and yes, I would definately recommend a listen.

Kudos on the episode. I too am surprised not more people are on this thread. Unfortunately, (or not, I don't mind too much) I don't have cable so I haven't seen I Know What I Saw or Out of the Blue, but after listening to this episode, I am dying to see it.

Everytime Leslie Kean comes on, I'm always impressed. She seems to be one of the people whose name is only attached to projects that have a high rate of credibility, which makes me even more curious to see I Know What I Saw.

It's frustrating, some of most mundane episodes get tons of feedback, this good, solid one, not so much. I'm at a loss, but then again, that's how I feel about much of my own reality at the moment.

Oh, and welcome to the forums, keiko and mothaffinxhailey (what's up with that name?), nice to see some new virtual faces around these parts. motha, what's the origin of that avatar?

DB I'm with you man. Sometimes I'll think something is right on point and I'll share it with others thinking they will totally dig it and then I get........... crickets :( Also makes me wonder if I'm living in a different reality sometimes.

For me the prime example of this is the war in Iraq, I could never understand it at any point. A more trivial example is how Mad TV never made me laugh once yet the short lived Comedy Central show 'Upright Citizens Brigade' almost made me pass out from laughing several times in it's short career. Why was one on the air for a decade and the other has faded into obscurity?

I think this Paracast episode was an important one and I hope this dialogue continues. Having read enough dumb journalists, Billy's blog is like finding a unicorn. A legit feature writer with great humor and insight who covers the UFO phenomena seriously? R you kidding me? Another guy who puts together the best UFO documentaries of all time who intends to show it across the country? I'll take an epside with these people any day over some 20 year old UFO case rehashed.

Thanks for the welcome. Mothaeffinx was my way of making fun of all those hardcore kids who use real tough words and lots of x's to show how cool they are. It started when I was young and it stuck. The avatar is Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica. She's one badass chick.

Well, I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I haven't listened to it yet. I like to have certain conditions present when I listen to the shows, especially one I think I'll really like, and the past week and a half have been pretty odd in some ways. Billy Cox is indeed an interesting and unique character, and I have been looking forward to this episode. I particularly like how Billy doesn't mince words. I considered a career in journalism myself, and Billy is the kind of reporter I would have liked to become.

When I listen to guest like this I'm like... "what more needs to be said"? These guys are the cream of the crop and I am embarrassed to even comment other than to say how much I enjoyed listening to people who know what they're talking about. Even when they are admitting that they don't really know what they are talking about.

Don't have much to say except that I appreciated the episode enough to go back on the pvr and watch "I know what I saw."
Killer extension of out of the blue, personal, groundbreaking. Just hope the mainstream somehow takes notice.

Oh, and David, hope you're joking about not knowing Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica. Gotta be the best sci-fi show in the past 20 years at least. When it was good it was mind blowing... and when it was bad it was still the best thing on TV.

A bit of topic

I Showed it to my friend last night the video and to say he has no interest in this subject is understatement. I was annoying him all week take a look and see what you think. He said after we watched it... that was compelling. I do not think he will go out of his way to go and look at the topic like i do, for obvious reasons his not seen things that are out of the norm. He believed what i told him, what i have seen, but the video give him a reality check, and has made him more open to the possibilities of such a reality.

I couldn't have said it better, right there with you on this. I don't think I can add anything to what they said. James' and Leslie's work are top notch and an oasis of logic and reason in a desert of irrational thinking.

I have to also thank Gene and David for producing a show I can consistently count on for an intelligent, rational approach to discussing subjects that all too often fall victim to some of the biggest flakes and charlatans out there.
