Devil's Advocate
You-know-who is at it again (well, still at it, I suppose):

For the record I didn't "watch" this (it's unwatchable) but I did have it playing for the sound as I did other work. I particularily enjoyed how Mr. Blows-his-own-Horn revels in the notion of debunkers attacking each other, then goes on to slag other "contactees".

I thought it might be of interest since he calls out messers Biedney, Stienberg, Ritzman and Kimball by name and lumps them in (somewhat inexplicably) with the likes of James Randi and Kal Korfffffffff.

Delusional bullshit, as always. Seeing this kind of nonsense reminds me why I so frustrated with this "field". Morons just making crap up as they go along, and sheep willing to lap it up like lemmings. Sheesh.

Well, there is another way to look at it. There are going to be some watchers who are curious enough to google on your names and will eventually find the Paracast wherein they will find something different and refreshing.

While Horn toots his own, he's advertising for some sanity too. Can't hurt to reap the benefit of the cluck.

So okay, there are these aliens, right? But only Billy Meier can see and photograph them and their ships. But he can't photograph them in frame properly, just their ships. And he can only take video of the ships, not them. And if you want to know what they think, they've had him write an "Open Letter To All Humans." You can read that but not talk to them directly. He can ride in their ships but you and I can't.

And Horn has the pant potatoes to wonder why all of the skeptics refuse to waste their time exactly replicating Meiers' footage? Gee, I dunno--because the outcome is inevitable?

EDIT: Oh creepy - at around an hour forty-four minutes you can hear him speaking a star language with a written translation underneath. Gross.

And don't forget Jeremy, the reason the saucers look like garbage can lids with hubcaps glued to them is because the aliens influenced the designers of hubcaps and garbage cans!

I like the introduction of the evil splinter group of pleidijar-jarians, it's a nice touch. My favorite part though is how they cover their asses both ways. If something happens that's remotely close to one of these "contact notes", that's a prophecy being fullfiled but if nothing happens it was only a prediction that "was somehow narrowly avoided". It's a case that is (as George Carlin said of all religions) "Stunningly and embarrassingly full of shit!"

I think the funniest thing I heard was that Billy could have had his arm fixed, or re-sprouted or something like that, BUT he didn't want to look weird or anything!! Uuuuuuhhhhhh OK. Because he certainly doesn't look weird now?

Same thing happened in the short lived "Invasion" I think it was called. Policeman lost his arm and the aliens sprouted a new one for him. Of course the police captain was very worried that the alien agenda would get out and talked the guy into having it cut off again, I think with a chainsaw. Wonder if this notion came from the Meier lunacy?

God I hate wasting time with this, but the urge to talk shit about it irresistable.

Indeed. In a world as uncertain as this it's always grounding to nuke an asshole you know you're better than.

I was listening to Paola Harris on Whitley Streiber's podcast the other day. She says she believes Beamship Billy and his bullshit. What hope is there for a serious, level-headed study of the UFO phenomenon, when researchers who claim high credentials support Meier and his proponents? Why are so many ufologists so naive, and willing to accept any old load of crap as the truth? Sorry, in a jaded mood today, LOL.

Paola believes in a lot of stupid crap. I stopped paying her attention.

She won't get any more of my attention, either. The instant someone endorses the beamship baloney, they slap me in the face with a massive red warning flag. I was about 13 when I first read about Meier, and believed the pics I was seeing were real - for all of about five minutes, until common sense took over. No wonder there are so many jaded and cranky ufology students around - myself included!

She may need her own thread. I started listening to her on Binnall of America in a 3 part interview. I couldn't get through hardly any of it. Other than the Meier stuff, she constantly bags on Americans for their negativism, or perhaps logical skepticality. She pronounced how in Italy, UFO's were not ridiculed like in the states and people apparently "just had faith" or believed.

She also called Maussan the best person in ufology or the most credible, something like that. She also apparently worked closely with Corso and was very skeptical of his story. Hahaha, NOT!!

One thing puzzles me about her. She claims Hynek as one of her mentors and apparently worked closely with him as well. I don't know what this might say about him or her, as I can't force anymore of her bunk into my eardrums and ohhh, what was this thread about?? Sorry.

Maybe she's been at this too long and her sense of remaining open to all possibilities has devolved into believing everything.

Speaking of Maussan, here he is hawking a years old (note the WTC) Sci-Fi channel promo video on Mexican TV.
