Paranormal Adept
Hopefully, my internet connection will allow me to continue access as a subscriber (there seems to be some concern about that right now). Anyway, I was here from the very first episode. I used to download the episodes and then put them on CD to listen to in my car (before the age of Iphones). I still am fond of CDs because they provide a sense of permanence. For example, my entire PC crashed early this year and I lost everything. I purchased a new PC, but everything not on CD was a loss. I will let you know I am 62, not a master of the latest technology, a quick learner, and a life time experiencer of what is ultimately still a mystery to me. When others have clasped to the "answer" of aliens from another planet in our universe, I was hesitant to do this, seeing this as our cultural answer, but not necessarily the real answer. When I had ghost-like activity in not one but 2 homes, others jumped on "ghost of a departed human" as the answer. I instead was hesitant to just stamp a label on it as if that really gave me any control over it. I referred to it as "ghost-like" occurrences. From what I have witnessed here, some extremely intelligent people are now on the forum. I am humbled by your presence. I may be a humble lurker since I do not wish to be known as the guy who always states the obvious or who takes a contrary viewpoint. But if I can stay and have something half way coherent to say, I will do so. Thanks all.
OK. The title does not seem to have any coverage in the content of the post. Let's resolve that quickly. My most committed period was around 2010 when I was a very active participant on the forum. I suspect most people of that time are gone. But I was struck with a serious disease that over night re-arranged all my priorities in life. All on-line activity on my part STOPPED. Only a couple years later when I had triumphed over my health challenge did I return. However, I was tentative about joining any group or becoming a subscriber. I admit that the ads that were a big part of the public Paracast interviews turned me off. So I stopped listening. Only now having learnt of an ad-free version of the Paracast did I eagerly return. End of Story.
One final note: My avatar is never me. I like to find eccentric and interesting pictures to represent me. But I am not, for example, the old duffer that is my current avatar.
