Online Case Study

Skilled Investigator
I've been pondering presenting an abduction case I've been hauling around in my "grey basket"for some time and think the Forum members examination and review may help me re-file it, one way or the other. I think it's one that would lend itself to such a thing but I'm not quite sure how to proceed. Has such a thing been done here, or elsewhere? If not, any recommendations on how to proceed or organize such a presentation?

I'm not the first to put forth the hypothesis regarding this case, but I've stepped up the challenge and taken it farther than anyone else. It is historical in nature and the almost all the raw material is online for all to review. I do think that the case is substantial in it's implications if found to be worthwhile. It won't and can't be proven to the extent most would like but I'm not sure that isn't by design. However, there may be enough proof for those who find themselves written in the words.

???

is it something researchable? Part of the problem with abduction cases is that they seem to be very subjective in nature. If it is something that can be researched rather than analyzed esoterically then I think this is the right forum to contribute. Otherwise you will most likely receive opinions. Not something that will help you reclassify the case.

Well, I suppose it's research-able in that everyone here has access to the same data set I used. And it is voluminous. Maybe someone else could find something I missed or could add something to it that would lend support -or- take away from the hypothesis? I think it can be both researched -and- analyzed esoterically (and probably must be). This one isn't really either/or. And the value won't be in proving or disproving the 'reality' of this particular case, but rather in the questions raised by the implications -if-we agree with some certainty this particular data set matches closely the recognized data set by which we currently (and somewhat broadly) classify the phenomenon.

Otherwise you will most likely receive opinions. Not something that will help you reclassify the case.
Either way, opinions are the only thing that can IMO. I'm willing to admit from the start I have a particular bias in this case - one that comes, in part, from a quite personal experience. Maybe I'm just looking for affirmation? Probably... but then again, isn't everybody?

It was a fairly interesting case to begin with. I think what I have to add to it takes it to a level that is more than just interesting. And even if I am unable to "re-file" this particular case personally, I'm good with simply going through the exercise of updating and documenting it. Might be fun. It will certainly raise questions.

So, if one were to go forward, any suggestions as to method or form? Or should I just start a thread, state my hypothesis and let er rip (again, probably)? I'm just not sure -presenting- a case lends itself to the same type of post system as is used when -discussing- a case that's already been presented. There's a lot to bring up and I'd prefer to keep it somewhat focused (for the most part) until I'm finished. I dunno...maybe it will... but I'm doubtful.

Again, opinions?
