Orange orb.

9:30pm 5-29-2012 It was a brilliant, beautiful, orange ball. I just happened to look up at the night sky over the Mississippi and there it was. As soon as I looked up to see it, another individual nearby asks "what is that?" I said I have no idea and quickly grabbed my phone to get a shot of it but it quickly dimmed down so my phone could not pick it up unfortunately. When it became dim, or a faint orange, I couldn't make out its shape anymore but it was still orange and visible as it traveled north east below the clouds until out of sight, taking around a minute thirty seconds to travel out of sight. When I first looked up I thought it was a flare with a parachute and so all the orange lines around it were reflection and I thought it was just going to drift down, but this was not the case, it was stationary as it flashed into this realm. It could be described as coming through a portal from the strange orange plasma around it as it manifested.

No pixelsmith, not even a remote possibility of that. This was below the clouds. It really sucks that of all the time I have had a phone with a camera, at this particular time I had a rubber band around my phone to keep the case together and sure enough it was covering the the camera lens. This was an amazing sighting at any rate and I am fortunate to have viewed it.
Just a footnote, I was driving down the road and looked up in broad daylight and saw a craft that I figured was a plane. I kept watching it because it looked a bit strange. It look cigar shaped and it appeared to be colored light blue on on the top and white on the bottom. As is proceeded west it simply faded away and became invisible. Very strange.
