Greetings to all on the Paracast forum. This is my first posting here, though both Gene and David invited me to post all the way back in April after they interviewed me when I left UFO research.

The reason I am writing is several fold, even though I left active research I left with the caveat that I would cover the subject if I felt there was a good reason to. Well, after receiving a copy of the newly released documentary "Out Of The Blue" and watching it ... well I believe this is the best documentary I've ever seen. I interviewed the Exec. Producer James Fox (and Gene and David if you would like to contact him I will be happy to give you the information) on my show "Dark Matters." Also, now that I am out of active UFO research, you may not be aware that I am a published horror novelist. My book "Past Sins" deals with vampirism and in the book, in chapt. 05, a allegedly real case is discussed from the UK and the Highgate Cemetery back in the late 1960's and into the 1970's. Sometime in the next week or so I will be doing a show with one of the principal "players" involved with the "Highgate vampire case." This promises to be very interesting if your taste runs to the supernatural.

Nice to see you here Don. I've listened to a few of your shows and liked it a lot. The Knapp and Randle shows. I'm sure many Paracast listeners will enjoy it.

Good to know you're interested in the supernatural too. You might enjoy some vids posted in the ghost forums here.

Glad youre here, havent spoken to you in years. I didnt think Out of the Blue was a new release, as I'd heard people talk about it on the net and different friend had recommended it.

It is btw, on YouTube, when you search for "Out of the Blue UFO" and it's cut into many parts.

Is that the one?

Howdy all. This is the new release, new cut and additional interviews by James Fox, Tim Coleman and Boris Zubov.

Yes, the old version has been out for several years but they have re-done it and it is really a stunning documentary. I don't come by that conclusion lightly ... and I will say that parts of this actually excited me while viewing. They did a real bang-up job.

I seen what is probably the old version, since I viewed it several months ago. If anyone comes across the new release on the net, please let me know:)
 
I'll have to check it out. Alot of what I'ver seen on some docs lately (visual evidence-wise) has been out of date garbage long since shown to be hoaxes or misidentifieds.

I've noticed that too. I don't really watch many docs on ufos anymore. I used to collect them and had a whole library. Same ol same ol to me now.

I wish there were an easy to search database of UFO pics/vids so when you saw one you could look up the info on it easily to see if it is a real/hoax. You see something nowadays and immediately think 'I need to look around the net to see if that one has been debunked or not'.

I hear Google is coming out with some kind of video search engine like this.
 
I've had a negative attitude to UFO books and videos for a few years now - I mean, it's all well and good you and I reading and watching this stuff, but where does it get us? Money is exchanged, we get a book or video, the publishers and authors get our money and everyone outside 'the field' continues to dismiss the whole subject as 'nonsense'.

I really do feel like I've wasted my time (and money) with the whole subject of UFOs. It was only Greer's (so far empty) promise of Disclosure in 2001 that got me interested again - and where has that lead? Precisely nowhere.

I just got off the telephone with a TV producer I know that is into the UFO subject, but he is currently working on a TV special on the JFK assassination and the "mob" connection. He just sent me a bunch of information on this subject and after I get a chance to review it I will be interviewing him and his writer about this special project. Some of the information was shocking to say the least ... if true. I thought you might find this of interest.

We've discussed it with Kenn Thomas a couple of times, and certainly there are those stories involving that Maury Island character, Fred Crisman, and the JFK affair :)

So I'll definitely want to talk with David about this.
 
Found this today: James Fox gets media coverage

For some reason they have an old clip of Clifford Stone being crazy... but other than that, I hope the media exposure helps Mr. Fox a little.
 
I know this video just showed up on Youtube, but it's got to be very old. The film has been completely re-done and is being shopped as 'Beyond Blue' as we speak. 'Out of the Blue' is not being sold right now, though you may be able to pick up used copies.

That is a video from extras (Disc 2) of Out of the Blue 5th-anniversary edition.

The latest update is that the new version (3rd version with the possible international cinema distribution) now has the official title. Working title "Beyond the Blue" is discontinued and the official title is now "I know what I saw"...the trailer is still not released but it should be soon.

I have recently sent the clips of the recent updates about the film on my mailing list of international researchers. One of the highlights is that James was able to acquire the personal archive of documents and letters from ex Phoenix councilwoman Francis Barwood that shows that Senator John McCain also tried to investigate Phoenix Lights at the time.
