I think our military strategists know the score. It would be a blood bath to send troops in on the ground in those areas. I'm guessing they've got some technological gizmos in the works that they are frothing at the mouth to test out in these conditions.
 
I think that gives a good outlook on the people of that area and their ideology. When I think of the arrogant people who think (like our CURRENT administration!) we can invade and got to war with Pakistan and have success are damn fools that are going to cost the lives of many of their own country men over insane people thinking they are all Makaveli re-encarnated.
