So as did most of you, I recieved an odd message from another member about an interview he did with David Biedny. I listened and was shocked and truly did not want to belive what I was hearing David say. This I know David is not a nut, and never steared us wrong in the past, he may have an axe to grind, but I demand some answers. I have donated to Gene. Not much, but I have donated, and if the allegations are true what David is saying, we really deserve some answers from the Show. I love the paracast, and I love Gene, thats why i gave him money even when I didn't have a lot to give. I would just feel much better if this would get addressed instead of deleting posts and pushing it under the rug.

Even though David comes across as angry and even self rightgous I think it needs to be addressed. It's like an elephant in the room. Anyway, I'm all for free speech and noticed that David is for free speech as long as he'd doing the speaking. Still, I do think the whole interview is out there so why ignore it? Not because of money but because it's out there. I don't want to get into a soap oprea but I would like to see a discussion thread on the topic of the Mabus interview. They all sounded really immature at times. I mean "Dude" and Fuck and G.D. and all that Hee,hee,hee. Stuff. Still they put it out there and I don't mind discussing it. Even with some of them. Maybe their younger than i think they are so my thing about their style of talking may be right in line with their generation or their peer group. I"m listening even as I type this. So it may be a little disjointed.

He wasn't complaining about money, he was accusing you of asking for money to support your "unrealistic" lifestyle. Now Gene I am not saying that to you, that is paraphrased from the interview. If I were you, I would listen to the interview, so you know exactly what David is saying. David was/is a friend, not some crazy person attacking you, this needs to be spoken about, and first things first i would recommend listening to the show yourself.

A few points:

1. If Biedny was still a moderator, he would have banned "vampire boy" without hesitation... and he would have been right to do so.

2. What happened between Gene and Biedny should be between them. Gene has respected that; Biedny has not. Make of that what you will.

3. You don't get to demand answers. You are free to listen to the show, or free to not listen. You are free to post here at the forums, or not post. Your call. But demand answers? Nope.

I'm sure Gene appreciates your donation. As for what Biedny said, that's his side of the story, and he's entitled to his opinion. When assessing the merit of that opinion, however, I refer you to point #2 above.

This thread is now closed as well. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the show or what the show is all about. The drama ended when Biedny quit on Gene, and on the Paracast listeners.

What's left is what Biedny claims he was always really interested in - great guests, thoughtful conversations, and a search for the truth.

A quick update: I am informed that Mabus Interactive has now removed that hateful episode and the responses to it. They, too, realize it's time we strive once again for a saner world.
