They specialise in specialisation and logistics with a media focus and are able to amass large funds and donations quickly as well as garnering media attention and providing the means and motivation for people to donate. Because of their officially sanctioned efforts the uk government has pledged to match people's donations pound for pound. They do have staff and costs which are all accounted for.
They are British organisation and therefore are not accountable with the IRS. What you did was to put their name in a guidestar database and because you got zilch you erroneously and blindly dismissed this as a "disgusting rip off". I see this time and time again. Arm chair warriors with a pc and a little knowledge who feel they have to have an opinion. Let's hope you have as little influence as you do cheap ass investigative skills.
